Under the aegis of its new president, Cedric Bonvin, Crans-Montana Classics pursues its tradition of excellence in a score of warm hospitality and emotions.
It is a deep attachment like that of the Bretons for the ocean. My parents separated when I was nine years old. My sister and I went to live in Geneva with our mother. On the road, we used to sing Sentiers valaisans at the top of our lungs. My heart has always been certain that one day, I would return to the Valaisan soil once more.
Forged by multicultural experience, I discovered that excellence in the hospitality sector is around human relationships. As a hotel manager, I observed the staff's dedication to offering guests their attention, each and every moment. Unfailing commitment, recalling the synergy of an orchestra in which each valued musician delivers his finest performance.
Music allows us to share deep emotions without any words. It has the power to unite people, forging bonds that surpass both time and borders. It is a fabulous universal language that reunites, liberates, and inspires awe, and that is what I want to pass on to all music lovers through the Crans-Montana Classics festival.
To preserve the artistic quality which has earned us our reputation – in the wake of my predecessor, Gérard Bagnoud –, but above all, to enrich our proposals in order to draw and touch the hearts of new generations by including, for example, other disciplines such as theatre and poetry. The idea would also be to shine a spotlight on emerging talents who truly deserve greater recognition! We will also strive to win the loyalty of our current sponsors and attract new partners who contribute unwavering support.
In 2025, we will feature internationally acclaimed artists who will take us on the journey into an extraordinary music universe. As of February, we are planning weekly concerts that appeal to all tastes – in chapels and village halls. Iconic events such as the New Year at Le Régent and outdoor concerts on the golf course will, of course, still be part of our programme.
