Swiss Made Culture is first and foremost an association organizing encounters with national culture as their common thread. Its Director, François Barras, places the accent on a Switzerland open to the world, and very inspiring, beyond its expertise in watch and cheese production.
Painters, architects, literary critics… It offers guests and residents in Crans-Montana the opportunity to discover creative personalities who have left their mark on the cinema, contemporary art, architecture and Swiss innovation. Each year, about 20 encounters are held in the cinema in Crans, a short walk from Guarda Golf Hôtel & Résidences. Each event is the chance to immerse yourself in a new world through a story, a career, a vision.
Often in the form of a dialogue or presentation, guests can also interact with the speakers on a questions-and-answers basis. Discoveries continue around a friendship cocktail and dinner, with the speaker as guest of honour. This year again, the programme promises to be rich and instructive with, in particular, Claude Nicollier, the first Swiss astronaut to have participated in a space mission in 1992.
Through these original encounters, Swiss Made Culture also hopes to raise awareness and ensure deeper understanding of the different influences present in Switzerland: German, French, italien, Romande.
