Well-versed in the art of hospitality, this expert in micronutrition presents her bespoke programme to restore physical well-being, offered exclusively at Guarda Golf Hotel & Residences.

What is the goal behind the Health & Balance programme?

Organised over a minimum of three days, this programme aims to help you regain overall shape by combining balanced nutrition, physical activity support, and spa treatments, all in a setting that fosters relaxation and renewal. My approach is inspired by Mediterranean cuisine. With ingredients rich in antioxidants, fibres and Omega-3, it is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and health-protective virtues. Through this programme, I, above all, try to raise awareness about the importance of nurturing and respecting the body as a means of preventing certain illnesses.

How do you address the unique needs of each guest?

Prior to the arrival, I conduct a comprehensive assessment with clients to identify their preferences, allergies or intolerances, as well as their lifestyle and goals. This information allows me to devise a tailor-made programme including, among other things, a customised menu passed on to the chef of the Restaurant FIVE; massages and lymphatic draining using the Renata França method, delivered by the skilled therapists at the Guarda Golf Spa, and coached sports sessions (pilates, fitness, yoga or hiking). After all, the body is made to move. By releasing hormones, physical activity supports the detoxification of the organism and boosts the immune system.

What are the main benefits?

Clients feel lighter and revitalised and can see a reduction in inflammation and joint pain. At the end of their stay, I provide them with specific recommendations based on their progress, backed by the latest medical research. They leave equipped with practical guidelines to continue their wellness journey, bearing in mind that there are no miracle recipes. The true secret? A varied, well-balanced diet, regular physical activity, and quality sleep are all essential pillars for lasting health and vitality.

A turning point

After facing an illness in 2017, Élodie Richard realised the vital role food plays in overall health. Passionate about nutrition, she pursued extensive training in holistic approaches in Geneva. Armed with her knowledge, she now guides her clients in nurturing and caring for their bodies.
